Starship Warden Kickstarter Update
over 5 years ago – Fri, Oct 30, 2020 at 11:49:56 PM

Greetings from the Dens!

Alright, so we have settled on the final layout, with margin art, etc. for the Starship Warden. It's very smooth and balances the page content very nicely. Peter Bradley has gone through the whole manuscript and made table adjustments, inserted the margin art, and is presently adjusting column content for each page (see sample below). The initial part of that is pretty easy, but each page needs to be looked over. He should be done with that in the coming days.

Now that we know the column width we can start in on the art. To that end we are currently divvying up the art assignments and will bring Jason Walton and Zoe DeVos in to help work this art through.

Thank you all for your patience, but rest assured progress is being made! As you digest the new layout (see below), be sure to check out Jason Walton's sketch of his Tribute cover to the world's first game masters guide over on the Paths to Adventure Kickstarter. It is absolutely stunning and will add to his PHB tribute piece already out there.

Thank you all again!

Starship Warden (Metamorphis Alpha) Kickstarter Update
over 5 years ago – Wed, Sep 30, 2020 at 12:12:35 PM

Greetings from the Dens!

A little news to check in with a lot of progress. Peter Bradley, our resident art director, has dived into the Starship Warden and begun the second round of updates. At this point he is inserting margin art to encapsulate page numbers and headers and footers. He'll revamp the tables in the book and continue replacing art pieces.

So work continues, just the grunt side of things that is not so glorious.  As soon as we get a handle on the layout we'll send an updated file.

Thank you all for your support and patience.

Post Script: be on the look out for the next Kickstarter: Roads to Adventure, the C&C Players Handbook 8th printing and the Adventurers Spellbook! Coming this October!

Starship Warden KS Update
over 5 years ago – Sat, Aug 29, 2020 at 01:54:47 PM

Greetings from the Dens,

I hope you've been enjoying the PDF of the Starship Warden. I know some of you have found a few issues and have pointed them out. Thank you for that! Keep 'em coming.

We are going through the manuscript now and marking art we'd like to see replaced. As we get this list compiled we'll spread the love to various artists and get that ball rolling. In the meantime, Chris Clark has turned over the extra Stretch Rewards and Jason Vey is doing his final pass on the rules to make sure all is in compliance and on target with the latest AA rules.

In short, work continues! Thank you all and have a great weekend.

Starship Warden Update
over 5 years ago – Sat, Aug 15, 2020 at 01:46:43 PM

Greetings from the Dens!

We have just uploaded a new file for the Starship Warden. You should receive or have already received the notice of its arrival. Be sure to check it out. The reorganization allowed us to create bookmarks in the digital file and give you a better ability to navigate. We'll continue to improve this as we move forward.

The 17 pieces of art that Jason did are all in as your chapter heads, except the Dome chapter. Somehow in the shuffle that did not get completed.

But you should have the rest now. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Metamorphis Alpha Update
over 5 years ago – Tue, Aug 11, 2020 at 11:40:41 PM

Greetings from the Dens,

News at last on the MA book. Peter Bradley has finished the layout in book format. What this basically means is that we can export to book and digital format very easily. It also means that we can begin swapping the art out as needed, which we've done with Jason's first 17 pieces. Each of the chapter's intro art has been replaced (except the Dome, apparently I completely missed the Dome piece).

We'll get the new upload on OBS on the 11th!

Up next, we'll begin scouring the document for more art we feel needs to be swapped out and giving it a tighter read. Keeping in mind we are trying to keep this as close to Jim's vision as possible.

Thank you all for the patience! And in a side note, today marks the 20th anniversary of TLG's debut at Gencon 2000. THANK YOU ALL for making that happen! Trollzah!
